Getting started with your new LGfL VoIP Service
All staff can access the VoIP management site but some features require permission by the Head Teacher.
Ask your Head to set user permissions – this will allow relevant staff to view billing data, become a VOIP administrator, view parent contact details, enable call recording, or view fax history (if applicable). Your Head will have received an email about this from the Wavenet contact who has project managed your installation.
Permissions can be quickly allocated on the Headteacher Settings page.
VoIP Management Site basics
School Phonebook
•Find a list of all your school extensions in the ‘Internal Directory’
•Find the contact details of a pupil in the ‘Parent Directory’ – with ‘View Secure MIS’ permission*
•Create your own list of personal phone numbers in ‘My Phone Directory’
•Create a School Phonebook for useful numbers i.e. alarm engineer etc...
•If your USO username is registered to your phone, make a call from the VoIP Management Site using ‘Click to Dial’

LGfL Directory
•Search for another LGfL subscribing school in the ‘LGfL Schools Directory’
•Search for an individual user in any VoIP subscribing school in the ‘VoIP User Directory’

My Calls
•View a list of the calls you have made in ‘My Phone Calls’ – and if your Head Teacher has enabled Call Recording listen back to your own calls

Accounts
•Information such as ‘Invoice History’ and ‘Itemised Calls’ is accessible for those who have been given the ‘View Billing Data’ permission*

Settings
•Configure your handset by setting your preferred Speed Dials in ‘Phone Administration’
•Staff with the ‘VoIP System Administrator’ permission* can configure all extensions

Faxes
•All staff can send faxes via the VoIP site, but only staff with the ‘View Fax History’ permission* can see all the faxes that have been sent and received.

•All staff can access the comprehensive ‘Help’ pages where handset user guides can also be found. The 6961 and 7931 handset user guide also includes a template for creating a speed dial list to cut out and insert in to the handset.
